On November 8, 2011, Tie Enfang (éµæ©èŠ³) passed away at the age of 98 in Beijing. "Old Tie" (éµè€) was a disciple of Liu Shikui (劉世é), the son of Liu Bin (劉斌); Liu Bin was the youngest disciple of Cheng Tinghua (程廷è¯). In his later years, Tie Enfang's practice was concentrated into only walking circles and the single changing palm (å–®æ›æŽŒ).
On November 9, 2011, Zhuge Jiabao (諸葛家寶) passed away at the age of 92 in Beijing. Mr. Zhuge was a disciple of Guo Gumin (éƒå¤æ°‘), who was in turn one of the most famous disciples of Liang Zhenpu (æ¢æŒ¯è’²) and considered one of Beijing's three elders (三è€) of baguazhang during the late mid-20th century. Mr. Zhuge's family is said to descend from the famous Zhuge Liang (諸葛亮) of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三國志).
The baguazhang community mourns the loss of two of its oldest members, each only a day apart.
